Laminated Safety Glass for walking on

ertex ® walk is, on it´s surface, anti-slip coated laminated safety glass for pedastrian use. In the standard production a 6 mm functional glass sheet protects the load bearing lamenated element form being damaged. This protective sheet also has the anti-slip properties, which are achieved through the amalgemation of a special paint substance into it´s surface using the ertex ® PRINT silkscreening process.

On request the protective sheet can also be produced in float glass without the anti slip screening .

Mechanical Properties

As a result of the laminating process using PVB-foil that has a tear resistance of > 20 N/mm² and a stretch capability of > 250 %, a guarantee can be given, that in the event of glass damage, the glass fragments will remain bonded with the foil . This ensures, on one hand that the potential injury risk is substantiallly reduced and on the other hand, that the sructural integrity still remains largely in tact even after the element has been damaged.
